The Beaver Open 2024
The most special places in the world, The Moonin' & Noonin' Beaver Open! The world’s longest-running footbag tournament. Every Labor Day weekend since 1981, this Oregon camping event has been all about getting everyone in on the action.
Whether you’re a newbie or a pro, you’ll find yourself right in the mix—from the Pro/Am Net tournament to footbag golf, circle kicking, four square and even some good ol’ camp chores. It’s all about playing, learning, and having a blast together. Come for the footbag, stay for the community!
Leaving last year after my first time I couldn’t believe what I had just experienced. I knew that day forward I would do my best to never miss this event. Coming into my second year we had planned so much better! We had a bigger tent, new camp gear and 10x10 easy up as well. We joined forces with others in tackling meals throughout the weekend and had a nice home base between the few crews.
Speaking of teaming up, Dustin Rhodes and I collaborated on donating over 150 Beaver Footbags to hand out to attendees. I also could help but stitch up 4 beaver character bags to bring along. I was so stoked to give Beaver bags to the founders of the Tournament, Mike Noonin and Robert Conover. It’s amazing the community of people they have built over the years rallying behind footbag!!
This year I got my first HOLE IN ONE in golf! Although it was during the day. That didn’t stop me from trying to get one in glow golf, James and I stayed up until 3am soaking up the glow course the final night.
I tried to capture as much as I could while still leaving my phone in my bag and soaking up the kicking! Check out the recap video and photos below. Another year in the books, can’t wait until the next one!
